Hume Bank announced as Principal Partner

HotHouse Theatre today announced Hume Bank as 2018 Principal Partner. This new collaboration extends and deepens Hume’s long-standing relationship with HotHouse and reinforces its commitment to arts and culture on the Border.

Hume Bank has been on the HotHouse journey for over twelve years, and its support has been critical to the development and presentation in the region of some of Australia’s best contemporary theatre. More recently, Hume was the major sponsor for At The Hip – a HotHouse produced show about the growth of Albury-Wodonga, and in 2017 it supported the presentation of the Generate drama festival for young people.

“We value our community in more ways than one and our commitment to the HotHouse Theatre is just another example of this. Recognised nationally, this contemporary theatre company presents a
unique opportunity for our customers and the wider community to experience high calibre performances, normally only available in major cities, right here on the border,” shared Chief Customer Officer and Acting CEO Andrew de Graaff.

As part of this new Principal Partnership, Hume will have a greater presence during the HotHouse season through the renaming of its artistic home to: ‘Hume Bank Butter Factory Theatre’. Both
companies look forward to exploring further collaboration and connections through this important, evolving partnership.

HotHouse Theatre’s Deputy Chair Paul Robb said the partnership is an exciting collaboration between two of the Border’s prominent institutions. “This partnership will greatly assist HotHouse continue to develop and present world class contemporary theatre for Albury-Wodonga and the region’s audiences.”
