HotHouse Theatre Artist Residency in 2020 and beyond

Supported by HotHouse Theatre, Albury City and Murray Arts

HotHouse Theatre’s Artist Residency Program is a regional residency program supporting the development of new Australian work. It provides a rare opportunity for artists and performance-makers to work collaboratively in a gorgeous, quiet, isolated environment, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Wonga Wetlands.

In October 2019, through funds granted to Albury City through the NSW Regional Cultural Fund, the residency began a massive refurbishment. The program is currently on hold.

In 2020 we relaunch the residency program with beautifully upgraded accommodation to compliment the large rehearsal studio. We will make a big announcement!!

Since 2004, in partnership with Albury City and Murray Arts, HotHouse Theatre managed a residency program called A Month in the Country.  This program hosted more than 500 artists developing new Australian work, with dozens of productions added to the national repertoire, inspired by our regional setting.
