Every country in the world is led by adults. For centuries we have operated under the assumption that adults are the most educated, experienced, intelligent and best equipped to make decisions on behalf of the country – but are they really?
Wherever we look, young people are stepping into their power, finding their voices, growing their influence and fighting for their futures – it’s inspiring! As we begin a new decade, we are posing a question to the young and emerging artists of our region – what would happen if you were running the country? What problems would you solve? What decisions would you make? What future would you create?
Through the workshops, young and emerging theatre-makers will devise from their individual ideas, interests and skills to create a multi-disciplinary devised theatre piece for family and friends. Participants will develop skills in improvisation, voice and play building techniques.
The workshop culminates in a short performance and meet the artists session for family and friends on the Friday afternoon at 2.30 PM.
