A mentoring week that offers practical advice, support and creative development opportunities for performance-based artists and their creative projects. The GROUNDWORK program is about developing potential – in teams, ideas and projects – and building creative relationships and connections.
Independents at the butter factory
We want to hear from local independent creative teams and contemporary performance-based companies and collectives from the Albury Wodonga region, whether new, established or emerging who:
Will have work that’s performance-ready for presentation at the Butter Factory Theatre or Studio by Winter 2026.
Are interested in collaborating with HotHouse and other independents to design, develop and deliver a collective leadership model that hands the programming reins and full access to the Butter Factory Theatre and Studio to independent creative teams for a fixed period in Winter 2026.
ARTISTS at the butter factory
Artists @ Butter Factory will feature playreadings, creative development showings, artists Q&As and panel discussions.
We’re exploring creative theatre-making and interesting genre combinations between 1, 2, or 3 experienced artists: small, intimate and gem-like projects supported by a strong idea.
