Six extraordinary works. Five generations of
storytellers. Unlimited inspiration.

Welcome to Season 2025 – HotHouse UNLIMITED, a season of unlimited possibilities, where stories of resilience, transformation, and empowerment unfold.
Six extraordinary works. Five generations of storytellers. Unlimited inspiration.

From verbatim to vignettes, improvisation to intergenerational exchange, each work in the season unquestionably challenges the status quo, activating our imaginations, stirring emotions and expanding our intellect as we wrestle new futures into existence.

Produced inHouse and featuring eight local community women leaders, I’M WITH HER honours generations of empowered women in their unyielding stand against sexism to reclaim their voices.

Belvoir Theatre’s Scenes From The Climate Era sees five fast-paced millennials tackle the unavoidable issue of climate grief with humour and heart, trading anxiety for activism to find a new hope.

New Zealand’s A Slightly Isolated Dog dip
hilariously into the dangers of repressing one’s identity, inspiring authenticity in this unconventional Monty Python-esque adaptation of Jekyll & Hyde.

In norpa’s My Cousin Frank, stage legend Rhoda Roberts AO shares the story of her cousin – Australia’s first Aboriginal Olympian – as he and generations of her family step into the ring, uncompromising in their fight for dignity and respect, rising as champions for culture and change.

Anything You Can Do by PonyCam will celebrate the beauty of ageing, an often-overlooked journey that brings wisdom, grace, and a deeper connection to life. Two generations – including a community
cast of mature age, collaborate to unravel the journey of ageing, finding common ground in youth and wisdom.

We close out the year with The Road I Took a riveting retrospective from musical theatre royalty and three-time Laurence Olivier Award winner (Best Actor in a Musical) Philip Quast, sharing songs and
stories of his extraordinary career across Australia and the West End.

We also invite you to expand your limits and try something new this year with our Friday Night Live series – our eclectic program of comedy, music, cabaret and cultures. There is fun for the family with This Is Your City – The Live Game, and wonderous Whalebone kicking it all off in the January holidays!

Together, the works of our season are a tribute to the unlimited creativity of our region. A season which encourages us all to imagine a world without limits—where voices are heard, change is embraced, and
empowerment is felt by all.

We invite you to join us in our 2025 Season of unlimited joy and celebration of the human spirit.

FROM THE
CEO

I am thrilled to be stepping into my first year as CEO with HotHouse Theatre. A homecoming for me after near 40 years to the company that provided me passage into the arts as a local kid from Corowa.

It’s a privilege to be one of the caretakers of this remarkable company as we launch into a new year, with an UNLIMITED new program from our Artistic Director Karla Conway. I want to acknowledge the extraordinary alumni of artists, directors, creators and theatre workers who came before us with bold visions for theatre making and the celebration of regional stories. Respecting our past, we look to the future to forge new, creative pathways that strengthen our community relations through the creation and presentation of unforgettable theatre.

The impact that HotHouse has had on the lives of generations of families and audiences, and particularly young people across greater Albury Wodonga is inestimable. HotHouse is part of the DNA of this vibrant region, and we look to strengthen our connections with the diverse communities around us, welcoming new audiences and opening our doors to exciting new experiences.

In 2025, we welcome you back to the refurbished Butter Factory Theatre. Still with the charm that you remember but with a bit of new sparkle and a little pizazz that we hope you will love. We can’t wait to share it with you.
