In 2021, HotHouse Theatre commissioned local, award-winning documentary filmmaker, Helen Newman (Nomad Films) to make a documentary, celebrating the achievements and highlighting the impact that HotHouse Theatre has made on the local, regional and national arts landscapes.
Featuring new interviews with HotHouse’s present and alumni staff and artists, and drawing on hundreds of hours of archive images and video from the vault, the work will tell the story of HotHouse, its origins, the moments that shaped us and the impact that has defined us as one of Australia’s most important regional theatre companies.
In September we will host an Anniversary Gala at our Butter Factory Theatre, with invited guests, alumni artists, staff and loyal supporters – from those who founded us to those leading us now.
We invite you to share our journey to now and join us on the path to the future.
