About

For 10 years, HotHouse Theatre presented the Biting Dog Theatre Festival. Over the period, students responded to neutral scripts, devised, developed technical theatre and stage management skills and presented their interpretations of work to public audiences. From 1998-2008 the Festival influenced and activated over 2000 regional students, trained 80 student technicians/stage managers and entertained over 10,000 audience members.

In 2022, we pay homage to this incredible history with a one-night-only throwback to the Biting Dog Theatre Festival presented by our Industry Co:Lab, an ensemble of emerging performer/theatre-makers who will take on the development, rehearsal, design and presentation of a script for public performance.

It will be a new work, celebrating the old ways, with an audience experience that is bang up to date.
