About
A hometown celebration of the release of Yours, Georgina’s ‘Noonlight’, a six-track EP that reckons with acts of deceit—in love, intimacy and one’s self—before closing with a courageous and hopeful expression for something more honest.
Yours, Georgina is the folk-rock project of Georgie Currie, a Naarm/Melbourne-based singer-songwriter. Accompanying her are band members Renn Picard, Jeffrey Burr and Miguel Hutton, who are intrinsically responsible for the tight, muscular live sound that supports the power and rarity of her voice.
Opening the evening is special guest and Albury-raised soul singer, Iva Mahoni.
Georgie Currie
Yours, Georgina is the folk-rock project of Georgie Currie, an Albury-raised and now Naarm/Melbourne-based singer-songwriter. Her songs deftly weave the hyper-personal with the universal to tell stories about yearning, heartache and growing pains. Yours, Georgina’s sonic identity exists somewhere between Marlon Williams, Liz Stringer and Angie McMahon, with a live outfit of four that is lean, assured and able to confidently support the power and rarity of Georgie’s voice.
Iva Mahoni
Iva Mahoni is a 19 year old artist new to the Melbourne scene. Growing up in the country, she was provided the peace required to carefully cultivate her lush, soulful vocals alongside her delicate guitar work. Through deep musicality, she presents the music in a soulful form that displays connectivity and love. The music flows from her, and has manifested in tracks such as “Fallin’ Behind” created alongside Ciqala Johnson.
